Ralph Betesh

Game music that lives in the world

About the composer

Ralph Betesh seated at a C. Bechstein grand piano.

The best game music isn’t just for setting a mood — it lives in the world itself. I compose music with narrative weight — the kind that makes a boss feel tragic, an environment feel ancient, a character feel alive. By understanding the complexities and contrasts of a subject, I give it dimension through music.

My sound is partly shaped by the games I love most — Skyrim, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy.

Three-time first-place winner of Newgrounds’ annual Art Inspired Music Contest.
